Unit 9 Is this a mango? Lesson 1

一、教学目标：

1.语言功能：能够用“Is this a mango?” and “Yes, it is./No, it isn’t.”句型进行猜测并判断。

2.语言结构：Is this a mango/an apple…?  Yes, it is. /No, it isn’t.

3.词汇：an apple, a banana, a mango, a lemon  

二、教学重点：

1.基本句型的理解与初步掌握。

2.猜测句“Is this a mango?”以及判断句型“No,　it isn’t.”

三、教学过程：

Step 1: Warming up:

1. T: How are you, class?

   S: I’m fine, thank you, Miss Luo. How are you?

T: I’m fine too, thank you.

2. Sing a song.

Step 2: Presentation and drill

1. Guess game

a.The teacher guess

T: Is this a mango?

Tell the students to response like this: Yes, it is. /No, it isn’t.

T: Read after me.

T: Is this a mango?

Ss: Yes, it is.

b. The students guess

S: Is this a mango/an apple/an orange/a lemon?

T: Yes, it is. /No, it isn’t.

2. Act out the dialogue.

S1: Is this a mango /an apple/an orange/a lemon?

S2: Yes, it is. /No, it isn’t.

3. Listen to the tape, follow it.

Step 3: Practice  

1. Game: quick response

An apple /an orange /a lemon/ a mango.

2. Game: Guess, guess, guess.

3. Read a rhyme.

4. Homework.
